Name: Conan Heidrich

Traits: Laid-back, cheerful, tries to be "cool", very clumsy physically and mentally, frightened of thunder and lightning.

Can: Use magic effectively in combat, make sculptures, swim, play the recorder, sleep all day, find something to trip on or bump into.

Cannot: Cook to save his life, solve riddles, commit names or directions to memory (it takes a while...), give good advice.

Conan was born on an island community where he was babied by his adoptive parents, who were themselves teachers of the mystic arts. He left when he was 18, to go seek his fortune, and realized that most mundane jobs and monster hunting weren't for him. At all. So that's why he's here--he was hired by the academy to teach about his surprisingly extensive knowledge of Water magic.

...at least, that should have been all of it. But the academy is a very dangerous place, and many things have happened that have changed not only him but the world he thought he knew. Things he doesn't necessarily want to talk about.
